Pape Lukk - Camp Director

Pape Lukk joins Colby-Sawyer College as the inaugural head men's lacrosse coach, which ushers in a new era for Chargers Athletics. He brings a wealth of coaching experience, a proven track record of success and a passion for mentoring student-athletes on and off the field.

Prior to Colby-Sawyer, Lukk was associate head coach at Thomas College. And, prior to his stint at Thomas, he was defensive coordinator at Colby College.

Lukk also was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Delaware. He worked with goaltenders, offensive personnel and the scout man-up unit. Lukk also coordinated the substitution box during competition. His efforts contributed to the Blue Hens' historic 2022 season, which included the Colonial Athletic Association's regular-season and tournament titles, as well as a landmark victory over the No. 2-seeded Georgetown Hoyas in the first round of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament.

In fall 2021, Lukk was a volunteer assistant coach at Haverford College, where he focused on developing the program's defensive strategies. The previous academic year, he was defensive coordinator at Tusculum University and helped the Pioneers reach a South Atlantic Conference tournament semifinal. Under his guidance, Tusculum had an all-conference tournament performer and the program's single-season record-holder for caused turnovers.

Lukk's earlier coaching experience includes a stint as assistant coach at Haverford College in 2019-2020. There, he worked with the defensive unit and goaltenders. In addition to collegiate coaching, he served as the director of Rising Sons Lacrosse, based in Aston, Pennsylvania.
From 2017 to 2019, Lukk was a graduate assistant at Concordia University of Chicago. While earning his master's degree in educational studies, he mentored the program's all-time leader in saves and as well as the school's first-ever all-conference performer.

Lukk is a 2015 graduate of Frostburg State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. As a student-athlete, he helped the Bobcats achieve three Capital Athletic Conference tournament appearances, including a title game berth in 2015. During his playing career, Frostburg State was ranked as high as No. 15 in the USILA Division III national poll.
