Coach Paul Smith has coached both boys and girls cross-country teams at Bolton High School in Bolton, Connecticut since 2002. . During that time Coach Smith took a program that was on life-support and created a successful, winning, championship program. Coach Smith's teams have won 6 Class S State Championships and finished as runners-up 7 different times. He has coached at Green Mountain Running Camp for 15 years.
Twenty-four of his runners have earned All-Conference Honors while twenty have earned All State Class honors, including three individual class champions.
Coach Smith embraces the idea that hard work in running produces results like no other sport can. He derives great enjoyment from pushing himself and his runners to set challenging goals and striving to reach them regardless of ability level. He has been a coach at Green Mountain Running Camp since 2005.
