Melvin “Pete” Peterson, a proud member of the Eastern Band Cherokee, is a lifelong tennis professional with over 75,000 on-court hours and a legacy spanning decades. Born in San Juan, PR and raised in Augusta, GA, Pete rose through the ranks as a USTA national-level junior before leading collegiate championship teams at Lander College and North Greenville. A former practice partner to ATP Top 50 Dan Cassidy, Pete competed internationally on the ITF Satellite Circuit and later coached 2005 Wimbledon Doubles Champion Wesley Moodie.
Pete has worked alongside tennis legends like Dennis Ralston and Tom Gorman, and in 2004 was crowned a World Champion, ranking #4 globally in the ITF M35s. A Hall of Fame inductee and High Performance specialist, Pete is the founder of both the Serving Love Foundation and Love the Battle, inspiring thousands to become the best version of their true and authentic selves.
