Quentin McGrath

Quentin McGrath is in his first season as the Pitching Coach at Biola University. Over the past 3 seasons, McGrath has been the Pitching Coach at Missouri Southern State University, an NCAA Division II school in Joplin, Missouri.
During his time there, McGrath helped the Lions pitching staff compete at a high level and break school records. In 2019, the Missouri Southern pitching staff broke the single season school strikeout record, as well as coming within 4 strikeouts of the MIAA Conference strikeout record in route to a NCAA Central Regional appearance.
On the individual side, McGrath coached Zach Parish; a left-handed pitcher that broke the individual school strikeout record, the MIAA Conference career strikeout record, and was a two time All-American including the NCAA Division II National Pitcher of the Year in 2021. Zach was ultimately signed by the Texas Rangers as an undrafted free agent.
McGrath is a local, his hometown is Yorba Linda and he played at El Dorado High School and Golden West College. After his time at Golden West, he finished playing at NCAA Division II Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Washburn in 2017, Quentin earned a Master of Science in Education from Missouri Southern State University in 2020.
