Quincy McKinney - Camp Director

Quincy McKinney, Jr. is entering his second season as the Offensive Line Coach at North Carolina Wesleyan University. Prior to beginning in the spring of 2023, McKinney spent three seasons as the Offensive Line Coach at Robert B. Glenn High School in Kernersville, NC.

There, McKinney coached players through back-to-back conference championships. In addition, McKinney spent two seasons as the Offensive Line Coach and Track and Field Assistant Coach at North Pitt High School in Bethel, NC. Throughout his coaching career, McKinney has mentored players who have received collegiate scholarship offers at Division I, II, and III levels.

As a student-athlete, McKinney began his football career at G.W. Carver High School in Columbus, GA where his team was named 2-AAA Regional Champions. After high school, McKinney began his collegiate career at North Carolina State University (NCSU) before transferring to Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, KS. While playing for the Blue Dragons, McKinney received numerous accolades including being named 2nd Team All-Conference (2013) and the ESPN Top 50 Players of the Year (2014).

McKinney ultimately graduated with a Bachelor of Science in University Studies with a concentration in Wellness Services from East Carolina University (ECU) in Greenville, NC. At ECU, McKinney was a two-year starter at Left Guard during the 2014 and 2015 seasons. McKinney has participated in several bowl games including the Birmingham Bowl and the Music City Bowl, and received the Newcomer of the Year Award for his contributions to the football team at ECU. Most recently, McKinney was named a member of ECU's All-Decade Team by 24/7 Sports (2010-2020).

McKinney graduated from Western Carolina University (WCU) in 2023, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Sport Management. McKinney and his wife, Dr. Jasmine Garland McKinney, have two daughters, Blake and Cooper.
