RC Nugent

RC Nugent brings over a decade of basketball coaching experience to the court, having made significant contributions at both the high school and club levels. His coaching journey began at Mercersburg Academy, where he spent four years as an assistant coach, helping to shape and develop student-athletes in a competitive environment.

Nugent then took his talents to Owyhee High School, where he served four years as an assistant coach and Director of Operations. During his time at Owyhee, he was instrumental in overseeing day-to-day operations and player development. His leadership and expertise also helped lead Owyhee to three Idaho State Championships, cementing the program’s dominance under his guidance. Additionally, he earned a one-year stint as the Head Coach for the Sophomore team, where he successfully led his team through a challenging and rewarding season.

In addition to his high school coaching experience, Nugent has also made a significant impact in the club basketball scene. He has been coaching with Select Basketball for the past five years, mentoring young athletes and fostering their skills in competitive club settings.

Furthering his passion for basketball, Nugent served as the Director of Operations for Global Squad AAU for four years, overseeing organizational logistics and ensuring the smooth running of the program while providing valuable opportunities for aspiring players to develop their talent on a national stage.

Nugent’s diverse background in coaching, operations, and player development makes him a well-rounded asset in any basketball program, with a deep commitment to helping players reach their full potential.
