Ryan van Maanen
Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Rhodes College
Ryan van Maanen has joined Rhodes College at the start of the 2019 season as the assistant coach for the men’s soccer program.
Prior to being a part of the Lynx staff, van Maanen spent time coaching for the Grover Gibson Soccer Foundation as a coach in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Ryan also spent time serving as an assistant coach for the Fredericksburg Football Club Pro 23s, as well as a head coach for the ’05 and ’06 boys red team for the 2016 spring season.
As a Northern Virginia native, Ryan spent his club years playing for Braddock Road Youth Club and Forest Park High School.
Ryan comes to Rhodes College as a 2019 graduate from the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Ryan wrapped up his college career with 2017 and 2018 conference championships with Mary Washington. Ryan was a two time all-conference, two time all-state, and an all-region selection for the Eagles.
