Coach Sam Cleveland is the camp director for the Nike Boys Lacrosse Camp at Lawrence Academy. Coach Cleveland has been the head coach at Lawrence Academy since 2021.
Coach Cleveland also coaches at Top Gun Lacrosse, where he has been coaching both the Clams and the Littlenecks for over 5 years. He is in charge of player development for the Littlenecks.
Coach Cleveland was born and grew up in Arlington, MA, and played for Coach Justin Waker at the Rivers School in Weston, MA. A two sport-varsity athlete at Rivers, he was a two time ISL All-star selection at the attack position for lacrosse. In college, coach Cleveland played for Colgate University, a division 1 school in Hamilton, NY that plays in the Patriot League.
As a member of the Colgate Men’s lacrosse team, Coach Cleveland started all but two of all of the games during his time there, and was the team leader in points for 4 years in a row. Playing as a midfielder for the first time in the spring of 2018, Coach Cleveland was awarded an All-Patriot league selection for the first time. He currently sits 4th all time at Colgate in career assists (80) and has a career total of 144 points.
