Directing camp will be NCAA coach Sam Puzevic!

Sam Puzevic is an up-and-coming collegiate coach who brings elite lacrosse knowledge, high-level playing experience, and a passion for player development to his role as Camp Director. Currently the full-time assistant coach at Trine University, Sam is helping build one of the rising programs in the region while mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field.

Prior to Trine, Sam served as an assistant coach at the University of Dubuque, where he designed and implemented offensive game plans, led positional training for attackmen and offensive midfielders, and handled opponent scouting. He has also worked extensively with youth players as both a head and assistant coach with the BJ Sports Bandits, demonstrating his ability to develop athletes at every stage.

Sam’s coaching is rooted in an outstanding playing career. At Albion College, he was a dynamic offensive threat, becoming a 100-point scorer in his senior season while earning First Team All-MIAA and USILA All-American honors. Over the course of his career, he was named to three All-MIAA teams, solidifying himself as one of the top players in the conference. He concluded his collegiate career at the University of Indianapolis (NCAA Division II), where he added valuable experience competing at a high level.

In addition to his collegiate and club experience, Sam has been a trusted coach with Xcelerate Lacrosse camps for several years, where he has consistently made a strong impact on player development and camp culture.

At camp, Sam brings an energetic, player first approach focused on skill development, lacrosse IQ, and creativity. His ability to connect with players and teach the game in a clear, impactful way ensures athletes leave camp more confident, more skilled, and better prepared to compete.
