Samantha Kearney
Assistant Coach
Samantha Kearney re-joined Hillsdale College in February of 2016. For the Chargers, Kearney specializes in the middle distance/steeplechase events. Throughout her career with the Chargers, she coached several All-Americans, NCAA qualifiers, and GLIAC champions including Emily Oren and Amy Kerst.
With Coach White, Kearney helped guide the 2013 women’s cross country team to their first NCAA appearance since 2010.
Before returning to Hillsdale College, Kearney coached the steeplechase at UC Davis. During that time, Kearney guided the women to a Big West conference sweep in the steeplechase, a first in program history, and several NCAA D-I West prelim appearances.
Kearney is a 2012 graduate from UC Davis. During her career, she captained the women’s team to their first Big West team title in school history in both cross country and track and field. In 2011, she made an appearance at the NCAA D-I West prelims in the steeplechase and was a Big West Conference scorer from 2009-2012.
