Sarah Blomgren

Sarah Blomgren is the Head Coach of the Arizona Christian University women's beach volleyball team.

Sarah Blomgren enters her first year as Head Coach of the Arizona Christian University women's beach volley program after being hired to the position in August, 2020.

In March, Blomgren concluded her professional career playing for Club Volei Sant Cugat in Spain. During her pro career, Blomgren played a season each in Finland, Serbia, and Spain. When reflecting on her favorite volleyball memory, she will never forget her first professional match in Finland- the crowd, atmosphere, and not understanding a word anyone was saying.

While finishing her post graduate work, she wrapped up her collegiate career at Northumbria University in Newcastle, England.

At the University of South Carolina, Blomgren was a two sport star in indoor and beach volleyball. The outside hitter delivered 345 kills her senior indoor season. In 2014, Blomgren was a founding member of the beach volleyball team for the Gamecocks. She will forever be in the USC beach record books after notching the first ever beach match victory and becoming the first individual to 50 career wins.

Her work in classroom resulted in being named to the Athletic Academic Honor Roll throughout her years at South Carolina.

Serving as a volleyball huddle leader and coach with Fellowship of Christian Athletes on three different occasions is the highlight of her volunteer work.

Academically, Blomgren earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of South Carolina. A year later, she completed her master's degree in clinical exercise physiology at Northumbria University.

Away from the court and sand, Coach Blomgren enjoys eating at local restaurants in new cities she visits and keeps a running list of donut shops she has enjoyed around the world.
