Schillo Tshuma is a former professional player whose journey through the game has taken him from the elite collegiate level to the professional ranks and now into youth development. Originally from Zimbabwe, Tshuma played at the University of Maryland, where he made a name for himself as a dynamic attacking player before being selected in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft by the Portland Timbers. His professional career included stints with Portland Timbers FC, Arizona United, and St. Louis FC, as well as representing Zimbabwe at both the U17 and U23 national team levels.
After his playing career, Tshuma transitioned into coaching, bringing his wealth of experience to the next generation of players. He currently serves as a head coach in the MLS Next program at Alexandria Soccer Association, guiding young athletes through one of the nation’s top development pathways. With a strong presence in the soccer community, Tshuma is dedicated to mentoring and developing players, helping them reach their potential both on and off the field. His deep understanding of the game, combined with his passion for player development, makes him an invaluable leader in youth soccer.
