Scott Carswell
Eastern Florida State College Women's Head Soccer Coach
Coach Scott Carswell brings championship‑level leadership and over two decades of coaching experience to Nike Soccer Camps. As the head coach of the women’s soccer program, Carswell has built one of the nation’s most consistent and successful NJCAA Division I teams, guiding players to excel both on the field and in their personal development.
Carswell is entering his fifth season as head coach after leading the program to its first-ever NJCAA Division I National Championship in 2021. He has maintained that championship standard every year since. In 2023, he once again guided the Titans to the National Championship Game, earning both the conference and Southeast District titles and finishing with an impressive 14–4–1 record.
In 2022, Carswell took the Titans back to the NJCAA National Tournament, reaching the national semifinals and ending the year 12–3. His 2021 championship season remains one of the program’s most memorable—after entering the national tournament at 10–2–3, the Titans fought through adversity in pool play and went on to capture the national title.
Carswell’s impact was immediate from the start. In his inaugural season as head coach (2020–21), he led the Titans to an 11–1–1 record, a Region 8 championship, and a district title, advancing to the national semifinals.
Before joining the collegiate ranks, Carswell spent 17 highly successful seasons at Merritt Island High School, where he established one of Florida’s premier girls’ soccer programs. Under his leadership, Merritt Island captured three state championships—including back‑to‑back titles in 2017 and 2018—and made eight state championship appearances.
He transitioned to Daytona State College in 2019 as co‑head coach, helping guide the team to a 16–1 record and a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament semifinals.
Across his four seasons as head coach, Carswell holds an outstanding 47–10–5 record, reflecting his ability to develop competitive, disciplined, and confident student‑athletes year after year.
