Scott Newman

Newman has served as a coach at all levels of the game for over 25 years, most recently as the head coach and Director of Coaching for the Northwest Nationals. At the club level, he has also coached for the Maple Valley Marauders, Eastside FC, FC Alliance, Washington Soccer Club, Missoula Strikers, FC Portland, and Salem United Soccer Club.
Prior to coming to Seattle University, Newman served as an assistant coach at the University of Washington in place of associate head coach Amy Griffin while she worked with the US U20 Women’s World Cup Championship Team. He also previously worked as an assistant coach at University of Montana (2001) and at Willamette University in Salem, Ore. (1997-99).
