Shelby Janda
Assistant Coach
Shelby Janda joined the softball staff as assistant coach in September 2021. Prior to her return to SEU, Janda spent two seasons at NCAA Division III perennial powerhouse Texas Lutheran University as the graduate assistant.
During her tenure, the Bulldogs advanced to the 2021 NCAA Division III National Championship Finals, facing eventual national champion Virginia Wesleyan in the final series. TLU went 36-6 overall and 18-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, earning their seventh consecutive conference championship.
On their way to the National Championship series, Texas Lutheran won their second consecutive regional championship and were named the 2021 NFCA West Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
Janda was a four-year starter for the Hilltoppers, earning her bachelor of arts in kinesiology with an emphasis in coaching in 2019. She completed her master of science degree in sport management in coaching and athletic administration from Liberty University in 2021.
