Sky Ellazar

A native of Maui, Hawaii, Ellazar played collegiate softball at the University of Maryland, where she was named to the All-Big 10 team in her time with the Terrapins, and graduated with the second-best career batting average in program history (.333). While competing at Maryland, Ellazar also played for the Philippines National Softball Team, helping them to a silver medal finish at the Asian Championships, one of the best finishes in the history of the National Team.

Following her graduation from Maryland, Ellazar began her collegiate coaching career at Manhattanville College, a DIII program in Purchase, New York. In two seasons with Manhattanville, Coach Ellazar helped guide her team to a 27-8 record and had 10 student-athletes named All-Skyline Conference athletes. Coach Ellazar also oversaw much of the day-to-day operations within the program.

Coach Ellazar spent last season as the lead assistant coach at Stevens Institute of Technology, where she helped lead the Ducks to the first round of the NCAA DIII National Championship. Working as the team's primary hitting coach, Ellazar had two of her starters bat over .375 and rank in the top-10 in the MAC Freedom conference in batting average.

Outside of softball, Coach Ellazar spent some time between coaching at Manhattanville and Stevens as a Player Development Technology intern, while also earning her master's degree in sports business. Ellazar has also spent time as a private softball instructor, helping young players improve the skills they need to play at the next level.
