Steve Allnutt

Steve Allnutt enters his second year as the San Jose State swimming and diving program’s Assistant Coach.

PREVIOUS COACHING EXPERIENCE

• San Diego State associate head coach (2018-22)
• San Diego State assistant head coach (2014-18)
• Four-time Mountain West Conference Champions (2015, 2019, 2020, 2022)
• Coached three-time Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Year, Klara Thormalm
• Owns 85-2 dual meet record at SDSU including an unbeaten streak dating back to Jan. 8, 2018
• Swimmers have earned 48 All-Mountain West honors

COLLEGIATE SWIMMING EXPERIENCE

• Swam at Hawai'i from 2007-2011
• Part of 2011 Conference USA Championship team
• Finished top five in all events (500 Free, 400 IM, 1650 free) at 2011 Conference USA Championships

EDUCATION

• University of Hawai'i (master's in kinesiology 2014)
• University of Hawai'i (bachelor's in kinesiology and exercise science 2011)
• Completed master's thesis on the biomechanics of swimming
