Stephen Frazier Wong

With over 20 years of collegiate coaching experience, Stephen Frazier Wong enters his eighth season as Head Coach of the Clemson rowing program in 2021-22.

Prior to his hire at Clemson, Coach Frazier Wong served as head coach at Nova Southeastern for two seasons, claiming the program’s first NCAA national championship in his first season and finishing second at the NCAA finals in 2014. Before his stint at NSU, Coach Frazier Wong spent seven years at the University of North Carolina. He started out as an assistant coach in 2005, and in 2008, he was promoted to associate head coach. Coach Frazier Wong began his collegiate coaching career at his alma mater, Rollins College, where he is also a member of the Sports Hall of Fame.

Coach Frazier Wong has also coached with the USRowing Olympic Development program. He was an assistant coach for the 2009-2011 Junior-B USRowing Development Camp in Saratoga, NY and most recently served as a guest coach for the 2021 Olympic Development Program camp in Jacksonville, FL.

As an elite athlete, Coach Frazier Wong was a member of the U.S.A. Senior National Team. He raced in the LM2x in the 2002 World Championships in Seville, Spain and in the LM4x in the 2003 World Championships in Milan, Italy and in the 2004 World Championships in Banyoles, Spain.
