Steve Mohs

The 2014-15 season marks Steve Mohs third season as head coach of the St. Catherine swimming and diving program. Mohs has led the team to two-consecutive sixth-place finishes at the MIAC Championships.

Mohs joined the Wildcats after four successful years as Head Swimming Coach at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. During his time at Morningside, the swimming program significantly expanded its roster size from 15 to 40 student-athletes, including 35 who set individual team records and 18 team relay records. Morningside also had 44 NAIA national qualifiers since the time Mohs was named head coach in 2008.

In 2012, Mohs led the Morningside women's team to a third-place finish at the NAIA Liberal Arts Conference Championship, which was the team's highest finish ever and earned him conference Coach-of-the-Year honors.
In addition to Mohs' wealth of head coaching experience, he also served as Aquatic Director and Intramural Director at Morningside. Prior to coaching at Morningside, Mohs worked with the St. Cloud State University swimming program from 2001-2008, mainly as an assistant in charge of recruiting and strength and conditioning.

While at St. Cloud State, Mohs also served as a head coach for the St. Cloud Area Swim Club from 2004 to 2006 where he significantly impacted the daily operations and growth of the organization.

Mohs is a 2001 graduate of St. Cloud State where he earned a bachelor's degree in sport management. He was also a four-year letter winner and served as a team captain for the swimming program.
