Steven Hardesty - Co-Director

Coach Hardesty comes with an extensive background in college coaching having spent nearly 20 years working as a College coach, Travel/Scout team coach, Private Lessons and Evaluator levels. Hardesty currently works for Prep Baseball Report California as the Central Coast Area Evaluator for whom Hardesty evaluates players to produces scouting based content for the Prep Baseball California website, by writing reports on players, covering High School/JUCO baseball teams to evaluate talent and to run Prep Baseball Report Showcase/Game play events.

Prior to joining, Prep Baseball Hardesty was with Baseball Factory as their College Recruiting Coordinator/Director of Player Promotions. Evaluating and assisting amateur baseball players in the college recruiting process, while additionally covering top players from the Baseball Factory events through video scouting, social media promotion and evaluation.

Prior to his most recent roles, Hardesty spent nearly 15 years coaching collegiately. Spending one summer coaching in the New York Collegiate League before spending 2 years as the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator at Westmont College. From there he joined the coaching staff at Ventura College and for 9 years served as an Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator/Associate Head Coach for the Pirates baseball program. Then moving on to serve as the Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Santa Barbara City College and to a position as the Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for Moorpark College. Also, over the last 20 years in coaching he served as the Head Coach for the Coastal Cubs/Dodgers College Development/Scout team and most recently 12U/14U teams & Collegiate Summer League teams. As well, he is helping to start the first Knight Knation California affiliate under the nationally renowned Knights Knation travel organization.

Hardesty graduated from Ventura High School in Ventura, Ca. After graduation he was a 1-year starter at Ventura College at the California Community College level. He received a scholarship to play at Trinity International University where he was a starter. After an ankle injury during his junior year. Hardesty elected to transfer to Westmont College where he was a 2-year starter and team captain.

Hardesty earned his B.A. from Westmont College in Political Science in 2006. After graduation, Steven preceded to earn his M.S.S. degree in Sports Studies (emphasis in Strength and Conditioning) from the United States Sports Academy in 2009. In 2012, he completed his M.S. in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University. Hardesty earned NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification in 2010.
