Assistant Coach

Thomas O’Driscoll enters his third season as the Pitching Coach of the Albright Lions baseball team. The 2024 season saw even greater strides as the pitching staff showed improvements from the prior season in ERA, Hits Allowed, WHIP, Walks Allowed, Strikeouts, HR Allowed, Batting Average Against, and Hit By Pitches. The team also tallied 13 wins and two MAC Commonwealth series victories.
The 2023 season saw improvements across the board for the Lions pitching staff. Utilizing an emphasis on biomechanics and analytics, O’Driscoll helped to reduce the staff ERA, Runs Allowed, Hits Allowed, and Walks Allowed. The pitching staff also picked up multiple saves from the bullpen and increased their overall staff win total.
O'Driscoll spent the 2022 baseball season as an Assistant Pitching Coach at Gettysburg College. His primary responsibilities included bullpen management and pitching analytics.
In the summer of 2022, O’Driscoll worked for Perfect Game as an Assistant Tournament Director and Showcase Coach at PG amateur tournaments and showcases throughout the Northeast. In the fall of 2021, he worked as a Field Scout for Perfect Game.
In the summer of 2021, O'Driscoll worked as a Baseball Operations Intern with the Ripken Experience Aberdeen. O'Driscoll worked youth tournaments in Aberdeen and served as a youth coach/instructor on the 2021 Chevy Tour at ballparks throughout the Midwest.
In 2019, O'Driscoll worked as a Defensive Scouting Assistant for the University of Buffalo Football Team under Head Coach Lance Leipold. The team won the 2019 Maker’s Wanted Bahamas Bowl which was the first bowl win in program history and also a year that sent three players to the NFL. His responsibilities included analyzing statistical data, film study of opponent offenses, and generating strategies to assist coaches and student-athletes with upcoming opponents.
In 2018, he served as a volunteer game day intern with the Watertown Rapids baseball team of the PGCBL.
In his athletic career, O’Driscoll was a four-year starter as a pitcher at LaFargeville Central School in LaFargeville, NY. In 2016-17, he played basketball at Keuka College, earning conference all-academic honors.
Academically, O'Driscoll is currently working on a Master’s degree in Kinesiology through Louisiana State University. He has earned an M.S. in Sport Coaching from West Virginia University and a B.A. in Psychology from The University at Buffalo.
