Tim McCrory
Director

Tim McCrory enters his 6th season overall as the head men’s basketball coach at Lewis & Clark College in the winter of 2023. McCrory took over a men’s program in 2018 that had finished no higher than 7th in the Northwest Conference during the previous three years. Prior to the 2015-16 season, the Pioneers finished 4th or better in nine consecutive seasons. McCrory led the program to a 5th place NWC in his second season and their first double-digit win season since 2015-16. Competition in the NWC was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in his third season
McCrory and the Pioneers finished tied for fifth in the 2022-23 season and recorded their most wins (13-12) since the 2014-15 campaign. Men’s basketball earned their largest margin of victory on November 19, 2022, with a 121-47 win over Portland Bible College, and it was the ninth-highest points scored by a squad in program history.
In his six seasons with Lewis & Clark, McCrory has coached two all-region selections, with Zeke Crawford earning All-Region Third Team in 2019-20 and Brenden Patrick being named All-Region Second Team in 2022-23. Crawford currently plays professionally for the Pully-Lausanne Foxes of the Swiss Basketball League and helped the Foxes win the NLB championship in 2022-23.
The 2022-23 Pioneers averaged 81.1 points per game, the most by a team since the 2001-02 team averaged 85.1 points per game. The team scored 100+ points in four games last season, the most in a season since the 2013-14 Pioneers scored over the century mark five times.
