SI Women's Soccer Head Varsity Coach Tom Atencio and Coaching Staff. Coach Atencio has an extensive resume in all facets of soccer and is currently the Director of Coaching and Player Development at the San Francisco Elite Academy Soccer Club (SFEA), helping them become one of the top-rated club soccer programs in San Francisco. Atencio was a 4-year starter and captain at Cal State Fullerton, holds a US Soccer Federation A' License, and has numerous wins under his belt including 2 National Champions, 11 Regional Champions, 31 State Champions, Surf Cup Winner, and Las Vegas College Showcase Winner.
Atencio was named All CIF First Team his Junior and Senior year in high school. While at Cal State Fullerton he achieved Conference First Team and National honors his last two years at Cal State Fullerton. He was a US Club Soccer National Board Member for nine years. Coach Atencio had the opportunity to play in the American Professional Soccer League for 2 years for Los Angeles.
