Travis Ferrick Dayton Baseball Camp

Travis Ferrick joined the Flyers as the pitching coach for head coach Jayson King's staff in the summer of 2017 after spending the previous school year as the pitching coach at Army West Point.

Under Ferrick's tutelage, the Dayton pitching staff has posted the top two seasons in program history in terms of strikeouts, with the Flyers striking out 436 in 2021 and a school-record 491 in 2019. Ferrick also dropped the team's ERA by 1.65 from the 2018 to 2019 seasons. He also helped coached Hunter Wolfe to 2019 Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors, the first Flyer to earn all-conference honors since 2014.

In his time with the Black Knights, Ferrick also served as camp director, planning and overseeing all of the camp's operations. He was actively involved with on-campus recruiting and placing players on summer league teams and also directed player development, including nutrition, strength and conditioning programs, and mental awareness plans. Ferrick also monitored players' mental and physical health, along with educational progress during te season, and assisted in collecting and updating scouting reports.

Before his time at Army West Point, Ferrick was a high school social studies teacher and assistant coach for football and baseball.

As an undergraduate at Boston College, Ferrick competed on the Eagles' baseball team, earning Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic honors on three occasions as well as being named the Boston College Baseball team's Sonny Nictakis Award winner in his senior season.
