Travis Timmons
Assistant Coach
Jessup Men’s Basketball added Travis Timmons to the coaching staff ahead of the 2021-22 season. Timmons joins a staff that had produced six consecutive seasons in the NAIA Top-25 prior to his arrival.
Timmons comes to Jessup after previously spending two seasons with the University of Saint Katherine. Before the stint with USK, Timmons spent time coaching at Arizona Western College and Eastern Arizona University. Timmons also played college basketball for two seasons for coach Sam Ballard at NJCAA Mesa Community College. He then played two more years for NCAA Division II Southeastern Oklahoma State University under coach Kelly Green.
The Warriors won a record 30 games in Timmons’ first season on the bench. Jessup reached the GSAC Championship Game and secured a bid to the NAIA National Tournament, where they made the deepest run in program history, reaching the quarterfinals.
Timmons is a hands-on coach and can routinely be found working with players one-on-one in the gym.
A graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Timmons earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2014, and his Master’s of Business Administration in 2017.
Timmons, a Tucson, Arizona native, currently resides in Lincoln and is a big fan of the University of Arizona athletics. He enjoys outdoor activities, snowboarding, and watching sports in his off time.
