Trent Verlin
Coach Verlin joins Coach Hoover's staff after spending the last two seasons as as an Assistant Coach at Bowling Green State University. In his time with BGSU, Coach Verlin helped the Falcons to 38 wins, including the programs first 20 win season in six years in 2021. Working primarily with the Falcon catchers, Coach Verlin helped the team to the second best caught stealing percentage in the Mid-American Conference.
Prior to his time at Bowling Green, Coach Verlin spent three seasons at NCAA DIII powerhouse Penn State Harrisburg. Working as the hitting coach and recruiting coordinator at Harriburg, Coach Verlin led the Nittany Lions to 71 wins, including a program record 33 in 2019, and helped coach the squad to incredible nine run per game offensive output over his three seasons. Verlin also was responsible for recruiting Vermont Gatorade Player of the Year Nick Fitzgerald to the program. Verlin graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2017 with a degree in sports management, and served as a Student Assistant Coach for the Baseball Program at UoP. He also holds a Master's Degree in Athletic Coaching from Concordia Irvine.
