Tyler Ackley is in his third season as an assistant basketball coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Ackley came to NWU after a standout playing career at Castleton College, a NCAA III school in Castleton, Vermont. He was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter at point guard for the Spartans. Ackley set the school record for games played in a career and ranks sixth all-time in school history in career assists. During his four years, the Spartans put together the best stretch in over 20 year as they had the winningest regular season in nearly 20 years.
The Scotia, N.Y., native was an All-Conference basketball player at Scotia-Glenville High School in New York during his prep career. He then earned a degree in Sports Administration from Castleton College in May 2014.
