Tyler Lydon is a former NBA player and co-founder of Tyler Lydon Basketball Camps. In 2019 Tyler entered NBA Free Agency and landed a two year contract with the Sacramento Kings and was later released. Prior to the Kings, Lydon played for the Denver Nuggets during the 2018-19 season and averaged 0.9 points (9-18 FG, 4-10 3pt, 1-3 FT), 0.7 rebounds, and 3.7 minutes per game in 25 games. Lydon was selected 24th overall in the 2017 Draft.

Prior to the draft, Lydon played basketball at Syracuse University where he was recognized as one of the school's best players. At Syracuse, Lydon was a preseason ACC First team nominee, preseason National Player of the Year nominee, and a preseason nominee for the Karl Malone Award, given to the best PF in college basketball.

In his freshman year, he had one of the best freshman seasons in Syracuse history earning his way into the category with Alonzo Mourning, Anthony Davis and current Cleveland Cavalier Kevin Love with the 4th most blocks as a Freshman in NCAA tournament history with 19. Tyler’s blocks and 1 shoe shot sent them to the Final Four in 2014. In his sophomore season, he was a preseason ACC First team nominee, preseason National Player of the Year nominee and a preseason nominee for the Karl Malone Award, given to the best Power Forward in college basketball. By the end of his sophomore year Tyler was recognized as one of colleges best players.

Tyler’s basketball career started off at Stissing Mountain High School where he remained until his junior year. During his time at Stissing Mountain, Tyler was on the boys’ basketball team where the team won three Section Nine titles, a 2013 MHAL Championship and was the State of New York runner-up. Tyler also played for the Albany City Rocks who was a Nike Sponsored AAU program who played in the EYBL amongst the best players in the nation. In his time at Pine Plains, Tyler was noticed as one of the top Juniors in the state and began to get noticed nationally. He was named to the MHAL All-star team, All MHAL academic team and awarded the 2012 Senator Greg Ball Certificate of Merit and NYSPHSAS Scholar Athlete team award as well as being named to 2nd team All-State in 2013.

In his senior high school year he attended New Hampton Prep School in New Hampton, NH, know as being a powerhouse for basketball and academics. While at New Hampton Prep, Tyler also was on the boys’ basketball team which is part of the AAA NEPSAC. Tyler received the New Hampton Gnerre Basketball Award for Varsity and made the NEPSAC honorable Mention Team alongside his brother Zach. During his phenomenal senior season he decided to attend Syracuse university on a full scholarship. Before heading to Syracuse, Tyler was invited to play of the 2014 FIBA Americas under 18 USA boys’ basketball team where the team dominated and won the Gold Medal.
