Zach Sullivan
Director of Coaching - Solano Surf
Zach Sullivan is the Director of Coaching at Solano Surf, a position he has held since 2021. With a wealth of experience in both club and collegiate soccer, he has played a pivotal role in player development and program success.
Before joining Solano Surf, he served as the Director of Coaching for Diablo FC/Diablo Valley Wolves from 2015 to 2021 and as the Technical Coordinator for Lamorinda’s U11-U14 program. His involvement with NorCal Premier’s Player Development Program further highlights his commitment to fostering elite talent.
At the collegiate level, Sullivan has made a significant impact, serving as the Head Men’s Coach at Merritt College from 2008 to 2015 and as the Head Women’s Coach at Los Medanos College since 2016. His leadership extends into the semi-professional ranks as the Head Coach of FC Davis in the WPSL, a role he has held since 2022.
Sullivan holds an impressive array of coaching credentials, including a USSF B License, USSF Director of Coaching License, and a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from Chico State. He has also earned La Liga Level 1, 2, and 3 Diplomas, as well as the NSCAA/United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma. His coaching excellence has been recognized with six Bay Valley Conference Coach of the Year awards, underscoring his ability to develop successful teams and players at every level.
