  • It is a great camp to improve your skills. The intensity level is what it should be for high school student FH players. The coaches are funny, talented, and really care about improving your skills as well as you having a good experience. I highly recommend this camp.
  • Dear New Camper, I've been to a couple of camps in my past 3 years playing, but this was by far my favorite and most productive! I learned so much in just 4 days and became more aware of certain physical and mental skills needed to apply in game situations. I also become more confident with the many scrimmages we played, that were coached by some of the girls who play for the college. Seeing them play was also fun to see the skill you need to compete at that level! The coaching staff was great and I was able to make a lot of new friends while I was there too! I highly recommend this camp, I had so much fun and learned so much!
  • She had a great time team building with her team mates from school as well as the counselors, whom she said were wonderful. My Daughter took another area program last year & this one was sooooo much better! Your group of coaches are wonderful!!!!! Despite being tired & sore at the end of every day, Ryen's enthusiasm to go back the next day never wavered... & I believe that was due to her great coaches. Thank You so Much!!!!

  • Challenged my Varsity Player and helped her get in shape for tryouts. At the same time, taught my beginner 6th grader the fundamentals of the game. Made it fun for both - even though neither girl had friends at the camp.
  • My daughter went to camp with no playing experience. She developed skills, learned the game, and did not feel intimidated. She had a wonderful time, and can't wait to return.
  • Great camp to learn the basics and intricate details of field hockey!
  • Perfect camp for preparing for pre-season. Great coaching, and an opportunity to practice with players from all over. It really helped me show up totally ready on the first day of pre-season. Highly recommend it to any varsity or jv player.

    Camp Director

Katie Nichol (née Reynolds) was hired as head coach of the Manhattanville College field hockey team in April 2022. She completed her second season as a collegiate head coach in the fall of 2023.

The Valiants had four players-Sabina Cosmo, Florence Harrison, Julia Huertas and Cat Morgan--named to the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad following the conclusion of Nichol's second season in 2023, with Huertas going on to be named an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction after earning a 4.0 through her first semester at Manhattanville.

Nichol took the helm of the Valiants as the team migrated to the Atlantic East Conference. In their new home, the field hockey program went 4-12 under Nichol's leadership in 2022. She collected her first coaching win on Sept. 14 against Sage with an 11-1 victory over the Gators, beginning a three-game winning streak for the team. On October 12, the Valiants defeated Neumann 4-2 for their first win in Atlantic East action. Manhattanville would finish as the No. 6 seed in the regular season conference standings, earning a postseason berth in Nichol's inaugural season. Abbey Playle developed into one of the top players in the conference as she would named to the Atlantic East All-Conference First Team, the first player under Nichol to earn All-Conference recognition.

The appointment at Manhattanville is Nichol's’ first foray into collegiate coaching. Since 2019, she has served as the head junior varsity field hockey coach and the head lacrosse coach at Arlington High School. With the Admirals, Nichol led the JV field hockey team to a 10-1-1 record, responsible to the evaluation and development of 30 high school players. Nichol developed practices and game plan strategies with a focus on generating more offensive chances.

Outside of Arlington High, Nichol founded K Field Hockey in 2019, a program of field hockey training clinics in the Hudson Valley for players ages 5 through 18. RNichol worked with students to develop a multitude of skills, including defensive, offensive and conditioning drills to better enhance their abilities. Her clinics reached maximum capacity for each session as a result of extensive outreach and recruiting with high schools throughout the Hudson Valley.

She had previously worked in the Career Development Office at Bard College as the Office and Communication Coordinator, assisting students in job search and networking efforts.

Nichol is a 2019 graduate of SUNY Oswego, where she played field hockey for three seasons after playing one year at St. Thomas Aquinas in 2015. While with the Lakers, Nichol made the NCAA Division III All-Academic Team in all three seasons from 2016 to 2018. After being a SUNYAC All-Conference Second Team selection in 2018, Nichol earned her way onto the First Team in the 2019 season in which she served as team captain. She is currently fifth all-time in Oswego history in career points and goals, scoring 29 goals and 10 assists in her three seasons with the Lakers. She is also the program’s record holder for most goals in a game.

SCHOLARSHIPS

We cannot offer scholarships due to NCAA regulations. Our affiliation with NCAA coaches and schools puts us in a position where any scholarship money can be seen as an inducement to a future collegiate athlete. This puts our coaches and our host universities in jeopardy of damaging their status with the NCAA and incurring penalties at the hands of their organizing body.

Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
