at Nike Field Hockey Camps

Join our exciting field hockey camp in Absecon this summer to boost your skills! Head Field Hockey Coach, Kim Byrnes, and her expert coaching staff will guide campers through individual drills and competitive gameplay.

This New Jersey field hockey camp is open to girls, ages 8-14, of all skill levels. Don't miss out on the chance to elevate your stick skills and overall abilities! Join us at Holy Spirit High School for a summer of skill improvement and fun.

    Coach Kim is the Head Field Hockey Coach at Holy Spirit High School.

    Kim Byrnes grew up in Washington Township, NJ, where she began playing Field Hockey at the age of 9, and continued through to Washington Township High School from 1994-1997. During her time there, she was named to Group 4 Second Team Olympic Conference both her Junior and Senior years, as well as Honorable Mention All South Jersey her Senior year.

    She currently lives in Galloway, NJ with her husband and 2 children, who will both be graduating from Holy Spirit High School as part of the Classes of 2026 and 2028. They follow their father Ed, who was part of the HSHS Class of 1997, as well as a long list of Spartan family members.

    Coach Kim was the Head Coach at Holy Spirit from 2014-2017, and took back over the program this past Fall of 2023 after becoming the Admissions Coordinator for the school. The Lady Spartans finished the season 11-3-3. They hope to improve even further on that record this coming season.

  • Schedule: 9:00am-12:00pm, Monday-Thursday
  • Check-in: 8:30am on Monday
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided.
  • Program: This All Skills program is geared towards players of all abilities. The camp program includes stick work instruction & skills, technical & tactical training, offensive & defensive skills, and positioning work. Goalie-specific training is available as well. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning training session
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided.
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Camp Gear: All campers receive a Nike Field Hockey Camps package (reversible jersey, ball, lanyard) and other fun prizes.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director’s discretion.
  • Equipment Needed: Hockey stick, water bottle, mouth guard, shin guards, turf shoes (goalies must bring full goalie protective equipment)
  • Inclement Weather Plan: In case of a canceled day due to rain, Friday may be used as a makeup day.
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Athletic, on-field clothing (t-shirts, shorts)
  • Turf shoes or sneakers
  • Reversible jersey
  • Socks
  • Hockey Stick(s)
  • Mouth guard
  • Shin guards
  • Goggles (not required, but recommended)
  • Court shoes for indoor play in case of rain
  • Goalies must bring their own full protective equipment
  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Small gym bag/backpack
  • Packed snacks
  • Spending money
  • Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNTS

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $45 discount. Discounts are not available for camps priced at $250 or less. Please fill out the Team Discount - Field Hockey form and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
