Learn how to play the game the right way at our Nike Flag Football Camp at The Green Vale School. Nike Football Camps have the intention to provide campers with some of the best training in the area. Coach Neal and Staff ensure campers are taught proper instruction and etiquette for the game of football.
We welcome athletes of abilities to this camp as the coaches will work tirelessly to make sure campers are hitting their goals for the week. Offensive and defensive position drills follow a proper stretching and warm-up each day, along with fun football competitions. Coach Ryan Proper
Ryan is a Physical Education Teacher at Schreiber High School. He played football and ran Track at Springfield College. He has coached football for 10+ years including 8 seasons at Lynbrook High School, 2 years as Varsity Head Coach at Franklin K Lane and currently coaching Varsity Football and Girls JV Basketball at Port Washington.

Coach Luke Bush
Luke is a Physical Education Teacher and Assistant Football coach at Oceanside Middle School. He is also the head JV wrestling coach at Oceanside High School.

Coach John Emmerich
John Emmerich is from Lynbrook, where he played football, basketball and lacrosse. His HS football team won the Long Island Championship! He then played basketball and rugby at SUNY Geneseo and now lives in Long Beach and works at Oceanside High School. At Oceanside he is the Head Coach of the JV football, basketball and lacrosse teams.

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, specific positions, team play, and game situations.

2024 HALF DAY CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: July 22-25, 2024 | August 12-15, 2024
- Age Group: 7-14 (First Grade-Eighth Grade)
- Gender: Co-Ed
- Camp Type: Half-Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 4:00pm-7:30pm
- Check-In: 30 minutes prior to camp start time
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers bring their own lunch. Camp store will be established with snacks, waters, Gatorades for $1 each. An email will be sent to all registered campers if you wish to add money for camp store digitally.
2024 DAY CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: August 5-8, 2024
- Age: 7-14 (First Grade-Eighth Grade)
- Gender: Co-Ed
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 9:00am-3:00pm
- Check-In: 30 minutes prior to camp start time
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers bring their own lunch. Camp store will be established with snacks, waters, Gatorades for $1 each. An email will be sent to all registered campers if you wish to add money for camp store digitally.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Daily Football Instruction
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Nike Football Camp T-Shirt, Flag Belt, Cinch Sack, Wristband, Sticker, and potentially other prizes!
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
- Facility: Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions and will also be used for game-planning and walkthroughs.
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
INSTRUCTION
- Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
- Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork
- Teamwork, Concussion Safety, Nutrition

HEALTH & RELEASE FORMS
All registered campers are required to have a parent or legal guardian fill out US Sports Camps’ mandatory Health & Release Forms online before arrival at camp. This camp does NOT require a doctor's signature on the forms.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Skills Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/LEAGUE DISCOUNT
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
