Our Nike Football Skills Camp in Kansas City, MO is back for 2026! This summer camp will take place at Winnetonka High School in Kansas City, MO. Camp Director Nick Johnson invites young athletes, from beginners to advanced players, to take their football game to the next level in the heart of Missouri.

Our expert coaching staff will guide athletes through a series of skill-building drills that cover both offensive and defensive techniques. Each session includes essential warm-ups and stretching routines, followed by position-specific drills designed to improve agility, precision, and strength.

This camp is perfect for athletes eager to enhance their football skills, whether they’re new to the game or looking to refine their technique. Players will not only improve their performance but also build confidence, make new friends, and enjoy a fun-filled atmosphere of friendly competition.

    Camp Director

    Nick Johnson is a Sports Performance Coach in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a former two-time state champion and college athlete. As a performance coach, he incorporates a combination of experience and winning culture into the training and development program for his athletes.

    Coach Nick Johnson was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended Rockhurst High School. As a member of the football team, he contributed to two Class 6A state titles and earned honorable mention recognition as a running back. He continued his athletic career at the University of Central Missouri, helping secure two conference championships. While playing for the Mules, Nick served as a running back and a member of a nationally ranked Division II special teams unit.

    During his final season, Nick transitioned into coaching as a student assistant, an experience that propelled him toward a career in the sports industry. In this role, he helped design running drills for skill-position players, focusing on agility, coordination, speed, balance, power, and acceleration.

    After graduating, Nick entered high school coaching and began developing student-athletes through comprehensive strength and conditioning programs. His focus on performance training has helped numerous athletes elevate their speed, agility, and explosiveness. Nick has also guided students through the recruiting process, assisting more than 60 athletes in earning collegiate football opportunities across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and the NAIA. In addition to working with high school athletes, he has coached collegiate and professional football players seeking to enhance their on-field performance.

    Nick is currently the owner and Head Student-Athlete Development Coach at Triple Threat Sports and Fitness Kansas City. He holds certifications from ISSA and ACE as a Sports Performance Specialist. With fifteen years of experience teaching, training, and mentoring athletes, Nick remains committed to helping young competitors excel both on and off the field.

    Deallon Walton attended Raytown South High School in Kansas City, MO. During that time he was a varsity starter for 3 consecutive seasons. Deallon then went to continue his football career at Northwest Missouri State University where he played for two years. As his playing days concluded Deallon was offered a student assistant position and Coach Walton was born.

    Coach Deallon Walton began his coaching career at Northwest Missouri State University, where he contributed to the Bearcats’ success by providing film breakdown, recording practices, and offering input on play design and game planning. He also served as a quarterback assistant and recruited in the Kansas City, Chicago, and St. Louis regions. Over time, Coach Walton transitioned into coaching tight ends and running backs, playing a key role in helping the Bearcats secure two National Championships during his tenure on staff.

    Following graduation, Coach Walton joined Truman High School in Independence, Missouri, as the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator. Most recently, he served as the quarterbacks coach for the Lee’s Summit North Broncos’ Class 6A football program.

    In addition to his on-field coaching experience, Coach Walton continues to train quarterbacks and support the next generation of athletes in pursuing their goals of competing at the collegiate level. He is currently attending graduate school, working toward a degree in counseling.

    Brent Lewis is a native of Kansas City, Kansas, who founded Skills & Drills Sports Company and has recently established The Running Back Academy. Coach Lewis prides himself in helping student-athletes in the development of Character, Academics, and Athletics. For the last 14 years has worked alongside some of the best coaches and organizations from the Youth Level to the NFL.

This is a great opportunity for your Student-Athlete to get Pro Training and Insight from one of our industries most integral coaches.

    Brindin Jordan is a Kansas City, Missouri native and an alumnus of Lee's Summit West High School, where he was a three-year varsity starter in both football, track and field, earning all-district honors.

    Brindin Jordan continued his athletic career at Independence Community College before earning a scholarship to the University of Missouri Science and Technology, where he became a two-year football starter. After a career-ending injury, he transitioned into coaching as a defensive assistant, contributing to the team’s growth and success.

    Back in the Kansas City metro area, Brindin dedicated himself to youth development, serving as head coach for his former organization, the KC Seminoles. He later founded the Missouri Huskies youth football program and serves on the board of the Blue Springs Football Association.

    In 2025, Brindin joined the newly formed KC HotBoyz, an organization focused on strong football fundamentals. He now leads the 7U team, which represented Missouri at the 2021 D1 Nationals. Brindin is committed to teaching core skills, discipline, and a love for the game, preparing young athletes for the next level and strengthening the future of football in his community.

    Trey Wheeler is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at OnPoint Academy, where he leads athletes in developing elite performance, discipline, and long-term athletic growth. A former Independence Community College football player — featured on Last Chance U — Trey brings firsthand experience from high-level competition. He later earned an invitation to the Dallas Cowboys rookie camp, further deepening his understanding of professional athletic standards.

    Trey is also the owner of Wheels Impact Sports Performance, where he trains athletes to maximize their potential through customized, intentional programming. His commitment to developing both physical ability and character sets him apart as a trusted leader in sports performance.

    Jerry McNeal Sr. is a dedicated football coach with 12 years of experience developing athletes on and off the field. A 2014 graduate of Missouri State University with a degree in Sports Administration, Jerry began his coaching career at his alma mater, serving as a Student Assistant for outside linebackers and later as Director of Football Operations. He went on to become a Graduate Assistant at the University of Central Missouri, specializing in video and football operations.

    Jerry currently coaches high school football at University Academy/Kauffman (3A), where he has played a key role in producing several standout linebackers and tight ends. Driven by a passion for mentoring linebackers and supporting youth at all developmental stages, he is also the owner of Bigger Than Football, a player-development organization he has led for the past two years.

    He is proud to have worked the Nike Camp alongside Coach Nick J., further expanding his reach and impact within the football community.

    Raised in Manhattan, KS where he graduated from Manhattan High School, Coach Darian Taylor brings nearly two decades worth of football experience and mentoring to the team. Upon graduating from Manhattan High, standout RB/DB Darian Taylor attended Pittsburg State University where he received several academic and athletic honors including an induction into the National Leadership Society and a semi-finalist finish for the prestigious Campbell Trophy, being recognized for his impact on the football field and in the community, as 1 of 179 finalist nationwide across all divisions.

    Coach DT was also recognized twice as an all-conference performer in the MIAA as a defensive back and linebacker, additionally being named by his peers as a team captain for his senior season.

    After graduating from Pittsburg State with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and pursuing professional opportunities, Darian returned home to Manhattan where he began coaching, training, and teaching the youth in his community as both a high school teacher and a football coach for his alma mater. In his 3 years as a defensive backs coach, Darian has trained and mentored many former, current, and future collegiate athletes in addition to being a part of the 2022 Kansas 6A State Champion team who went 13-0 to bring home their first title in over 3 decades. Coach Taylor also brings professional football experience, having spent time playing in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as well as a stint with the Salina Liberty of the CIF. Darian is well connected within the football community, from Division I head coaches, scouts, and recruiters, to USFL/XFL/CFL personnel. Coach Taylor attributes his wealth of knowledge to the relationships that he has built as both a player and coach, the great mentors that he’s had and to dedicating himself to being a student of the game. “The best opportunities don’t come around twice. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.”

With over 15 years of training experience, Brian has worked with high school and college football standouts, helping them reach their athletic potential.

I currently serve as the Linebacker Coach at Topeka West High School and as a Sports Performance Coach at Powerhouse Athletics in Topeka,Kansas. My career has been dedicated to helping youth athletes grow in skill, confidence,and character.

2026 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

  • Dates: July 6-10, 2026
  • Age Group: 7-16
  • Camp Type: Day Camp
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00am - 3:00pm
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
