at Nike Football Skills Camps

The Wake Forest Youth Football Camp is for youngsters who aspire to not only be great football players, but great leaders. Wake Forest players and staff will work closely with campers daily. Instruction will focus on football fundamentals, the importance of teamwork, and good sportsmanship during this three and a half-day camp. Campers will have fun as they learn the basics of football and what it means to be a true Demon Deacon!

This Nike Youth Football Camp at Wake Forest University is a non-contact skill development camp focusing on offensive and defensive football positions. Campers will be grouped by age initially, and coaches will adjust groups by skill level if needed.

  • Jordan Jarry

    Jordan Jarry

    Associate Athletic Director and Chief of Staff

    Jordan Jarry is in his 11th season with the Wake Forest football program and his fourth as Associate Athletic Director and Chief of Staff. Prior to 2021, he spent four seasons as an Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations after three seasons as Director of Football Operations at Wake Forest. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the football program as well as coordinating all team travel.

    Jarry came to Wake Forest after three seasons as director of operations for the football program at UMass. Not only did he oversee the daily operation of the program, he also was the staff liaison to the university, monitored the team’s budget and coordinated numerous external relations projects such as coaches clinics, women’s clinics and alumni reunions. Jarry also played a key role in UMass’ transition to the FBS level.

    Prior to his time at UMass, Jarry spent the 2010 season as the outside linebackers coach at the Colorado School of Mines where he also assisted in recruiting, video coordinating and strength and conditioning.

    With the Ore Diggers, Jarry helped coach a defense that led CSM to the 2010 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship and a spot in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The defensive unit led the RMAC in sacks (36) and ranked second in red-zone defense and interceptions.

    Prior to CSM, the Nashua, N.H., native spent five years (2005-10) working in the Georgetown Athletics Department where he served as an account executive for ticket sales and corporate sponsorship. He assisted the department in producing over $8 million in revenue while also working with over 100 corporate clients including Sprint, AMTRAK, GEICO, Xerox and Coca-Cola.

    Jarry was a four-year letterwinner at Georgetown as a tight end for the Hoyas from 2001-04. He was named to the 2003 and 2004 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and was a Dean’s List student earning a degree in history in 2005. He received his master’s degree in sports industry management from Georgetown in 2009.

    Jarry and his wife Leigh Ann, were married in July 2014 and have one son, Colton. They reside in Winston-Salem.

    Administrative Camp Director

    Chris Osgood is Director of Football Operations at Wake Forest, and is serving his second year in that role. Entering his eighth season as a member of the Wake Forest football staff, Osgood spent two years (2021-22) as the Deacs’ Assistant Director of Football Operations. Prior to 2021, Osgood spent four seasons as student assistant in operations. He graduated from Wake Forest in December 2020 with a bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in entrepreneurship.

    In his role, Osgood coordinates and executes all team travel logistics for games (bus, airline, security, equipment, food and beverage). He travels in advance of the team to all away game sites to represent the Wake Forest Football team and ensure expectations are met. Additionally, he is responsible for all calendars and communication to staff, among other duties, to serve the program.

    Assistant Director of Football Video/Operations

    Dylan Stevens joined the Wake Forest football staff in 2017 as a football operations intern before being promoted to Assistant Director of Football Video/Operations in 2019. His duties include assisting with all football operations/video activities and producing all creative video needs for the Demon Deacons.

    A 2018 graduate of Western Carolina University, Stevens earned his BSBA in Sport Management. As an undergraduate, he served as a video/operations assistant for the Catamounts and coordinated the filming of games and practices.

  • Wendell Dunn

    Wendell Dunn

    Director of Player Development

    Wendell Dunn, a former standout Demon Deacon defensive lineman, returned to the Wake Forest Football program as the first ever Director of Player Development in March 2021. He is set to enter his fourth year on the staff in 2024.

    In his role, Dunn helps lead the newly created Football Player Career Development program in a student facing position to help create a meaningful student athlete experience at Wake Forest. Working as a member of the Student Athlete Development team, Dunn oversees the football program’s off-the-field efforts to maximize student-athletes’ potential and help them transition into and out of college.

    Dunn’s main responsibility in the role will be to develop relationships with current football student athletes, helping mentor them as a voice off-the-field they can come to with concerns regarding academic, athletic, or career development separate from the Demon Deacon coaching staff.

    In addition to personal mentorship, Dunn will lead the team’s career readiness programming, utilizing the Office of Career and Professional Development’s existing Ready 7 program to prepare student athletes for career opportunities after graduation. He also, alongside the director of football alumni relations, leads the Player Career Development program’s mentorship program, learning student athletes’ career interests and connecting them with networking opportunities and one-on-one mentorship with career connectors and supporters of the program within NCAA guidelines. Dunn also leads existing football community service projects, including Hit the Bricks, Pump Up for Piccolo and Santa’s Helper, among others.

    A former captain for the Deacs on the gridiron, Dunn rejoins Wake Forest after spending a year as a Youth Support Partner at the non-profit Thompson Child and Family Focus in Charlotte, N.C., where Dunn mentored youth aged 13-21 in the Queen City area, assisting them with job and college applications, resumes, and school meetings, among other duties.

    Dunn was a four-time letterman for Dave Clawson on the defensive line, where the Miami, Fla. native finished his Demon Deacon career with 156 total tackles (28 for a loss) and seven sacks. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Wake Forest in 2017, and his master’s degree in education studies in 2019.

Camp Details

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, team play, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

CAMP INFORMATION

Due to the change in coaching staff at Wake Forest, we will not be offering the Nike Football Camp in 2025, but hope to bring it back in the future. PLEASE JOIN OUR PRIORITY LIST TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN THIS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE FOR 2026 REGISTRATION.

  • Age Group: K-8th Grade (Fall of 2024)

  • Camp Options: Half Day (K-2nd grade) | Full Day Camp (K-8th Grade)
  • Half Day Camp Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Day Camp Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 9:00am-3:00pm, Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to camp start time. Campers can be dropped off beginning at 8 am each day of camp.
  • Lunch: Lunch will not be provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.
  • Concessions will be available for purchase during camp hours - Ice pops, water, candy, Gatorade, soda, assorted ice cream, and pizza by the slice

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
  • Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork, Gameplay and Competitions
  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.

  • Facility: Indoor facility. Last day of camp will be outdoors at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium - 499 Deacon Blvd, Winston Salem, North Carolina 27105

This camp will have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group.
