Nike Basketball Camps Teams up With TCNJ for Girls Camp
Nike Basketball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, has announced a new girls camp in New Jersey for summer 2019. This New Jersey overnight basketball camp will be held at The College of New Jersey and will be directed by Women’s Head Coach Chessie Jackson. Nike Basketball Camps has successfully run the boys TCNJ basketball camp since 2017 with Head Men’s Coach, Matt Goldsmith.
“We are excited to work with Chessie this summer and bring a girls camp to TCNJ,” says Brent Koonce, VP of Nike Basketball Camps. “Her passion for the game and coaching skills makes her a great addition to the Nike Basketball Camps family.”
Coach Jackson entered her first season as Lion’s Head Coach in the 2017-2018 season and ended with a record of 22-7 and appearances in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship game as well as the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Jackson was also named D3Hoops.com All-Atlantic Region Coach of the year and the NJAC Co-Coach of the year. She is will be joined this summer at the Nike Girls Basketball Camp at The College of New Jersey with her staff of collegiate coaches and student athletes.
This extended day and overnight basketball camp is geared towards girls, ages 8-17 of all ability levels. Through a mix of drills, competitive scrimmages, lectures, and team play, campers will increase their basketball IQ and confidence in their game.
