Nike Sports Adds New Basketball Sport and Language Location in New Jersey
Nike Sport + Language programs are now offered in six convenient locations in the US.

San Rafael, CA—Nike Sports Camps are pleased to announce the addition of Nike Pro Sport Basketball Camp at Caldwell College to the growing list of Nike Sport and language camp locations. The goal of the combined Nike Sports + Language Camps is to provide young athletes around the world with the chance to improve their game, and their English, as well as make new American friends.
International campers will find that this Nike Basketball camp provides everything they need for a great visit to the US. It offers up to five consecutive weeks of basketball camp beginning with the June 24th session, an international staff of professional and highly qualified coaches, an optional language program and weekend excursions into New York and the New Jersey areas. The international staff is focused on providing players with a positive and focused training experience that will help players develop their potential. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. Campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. The staff does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
The ELS language program is designed to help campers quickly gain speaking proficiency to fully engage and immerse themselves in the camp experience with other American campers. The language program provided by ELS consists of 12 – 50-minute, English classes per week. (Campers are able to add multiple week of language to their program if they wish.) The language program is held in the afternoon so that campers can enjoy two basketball sessions per day in addition to their language classes during this first week. This helps the campers to quickly assimilate and engage in the basketball camp with other American campers. All international campers reside on site and have American campers as their roommates. Lastly, international campers get the chance to go on supervised weekend trips into NY and surrounding area. Campers also have the opportunity to add multiple week of language at this location for an additional charge of $200 per week.
The Nike Pro Basketball Camp is located in the picturesque town of Caldwell, New Jersey. Caldwell was recently voted the third best place to live in New Jersey, by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, so it is a great place to visit. Campers train at the George R. Newman Center which is a 60,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, featuring a 1,600 seat basketball arena, a fitness center with health club amenities, team and general locker rooms, aerobic room, a suspended track, meeting and game rooms and the College Bookstore.
Ken Webb is the Director of the Basketball camp at Caldwell College. Formerly an All-American at Farleigh Dickinson University, Webb was drafted by the New Jersey Nets, and played professionally in the US and in Europe for 16 years. He is currently a professional basketball coach in Denmark.
