Contact Football Camp Director, E.J. Mills Named MasterSports Coach Of The Year
Contact Football Camps congratulates camp director and head coach at Amherst College, E.J. Mills on being named College Coach of the Year.
San Rafael, CA (P.R. WEB) April 13, 2012 – Contact Football Camp director and head coach at Amherst College E.J. Mills has been named the College Coach of the Year by MasterSports after guiding his team to their second undefeated season in since 2009.
In its sixth year, the organization’s Coach of the Year award is presented annually to the individual who best contributes to promoting and teaching the game of football at the college level. Mills will be honored at a luncheon on Saturday, Mar. 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Select in Woburn, Mass., immediately following the MasterSports Clinic.

Breaking through in 2009, Mills helped guide Amherst to its first perfect season since 1984 and its first win over Williams in five years. With the Jeffs also laying claim to their first outright title, the awards poured in for Mills, who garnered Coach of the Year honors from the American Football Coaches Association, the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston, D3football.com and the NESCAC.
After posting a 6-2 mark in 2010, Amherst once again climbed to the top of the conference standings this fall, winning the second outright title in program history with another perfect 8-0 season. Over the course of the past three years, Mills and the Lord Jeffs have posted a 22-2 record with a pair of conference championships.
