Nike Running Camps Five-Star Cross Country announces keynote speaker for this year
San Rafael, CA – Five-Star Running Cross Country Camp Director Richard Furst is pleased to announce his keynote speaker for this year’s camp, Stephanie Herrick. Herrick currently manages the training and resource development for New York Road Runners youth program. She is a USATF Level 2 Youth Specialization and Road Runners Club of America certified coach.
She is an experienced personal trainer as well as high school cross country coach. Steph was part of the Five-Star family from 2005-2013 as head girls counselor, where she shared her love for running with youth campers.
“Steph recently paced the Millrose mile,” says Coach Furst. “She will continue to compete as a professional athlete in Europe this summer in the 1500m and 800m.”
Running has brought her all over the world and given her countless memories and opportunities. Working with young runners and coaches allows her to give back to the sport that brought so much to her life.
Five-Star Cross Country Camp is and overnight camp open to all 12-18 year old’s. This camp runs from August 11-16 in the beautiful southern Catskill Mountains on the campus of Iroquois Springs in Rock Hill, New York.
