NIKE Softball Camps Is Pleased To Announce the 2013 NIKE Softball ID Camp at Seattle University
For the first time, aspiring softball players will have the opportunity to improve their game and work on being recruited at a Nike Softball Camp in the state of Washington.
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) May 23, 2013 - The NIKE Softball ID Camp at Seattle University will run August 26-27 and focus on skill instruction as well as live games to optimize each camper’s talents and give them the opportunity to experience playing at the next level first hand.
The NIKE Softball ID Camp is intended for softball players ages 14-17 preparing for their high school varsity season or with the goal of playing in college. Dan Powers, head softball coach at Seattle University and director of this Nike Softball Camp states, "We are hoping to bring in top prospects from the class of 14,15 and 16 classes.”
In Power’s first five years as head coach of the Seattle University softball program, he turned the program from competitive to a powerhouse within the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and the NCAA Division II West Region. Now heading into his tenth season at the helm of the program, Powers hopes to continue to lead the program toward the pinnacle of NCAA Division I softball.
“We are thrilled to be at Seattle University and conducting such a high level camp,” says Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps. “The ID style camp allows softball players to gain the knowledge of what it would be like to play in college and what they need to do to get there.”
