Whitman College Women's Swimming Team Claims Third Straight NWC Championship
San Rafael, CA – The Whitman College women's swimming team was picked to finish first in the Northwest Conference. Three months later the Blues lived up to that billing, rallying on the final day of the Northwest Conference Championships to win their third straight league title.
Trailing in the team standings for nearly the entire event, the Blues came through on the final day to swim past Linfield by a 559-521 margin.
"A shout out to the women's team for rolling with the weather punches this weekend," said head coach Jenn Blomme. "There was a lot of uncertainty about the meet from the beginning but, they were adaptable and resilient, bold and caring and I'm so proud of who we are as a team."

The Nike Stroke Technique Swim Camps curriculum is designed by Coach Blomme to provide age group and high school competitive swimmers an exciting session of summer camp where campers are challenged to improve their stroke technique through mental, technical, and physical training.
"Our competitive swim camps will focus on providing a well-rounded and balanced camp experience that teaches swimmers the necessary skills to enjoy a lifetime of success in swimming," said Coach Bloome. "Campers train each day at the Baker Ferguson Fitness Center in the Louise and Paul Harvey Pool. The Center is a 38,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility."
