The Nike Tennis Camp at Amherst returns in 2019 for its 28th summer
San Rafael, CA – Nike Tennis Camps is pleased to announce its return to the Nike Tennis Camp at Amherst for their 28th season. In his 28th year directing the camp, Mike Gardner brings years of experience and dedication and changes the definition of what a summer camp should be.
Gardner, the 2018 Massachusetts Coach of the Year, is a four time Division 1 State Championship Coach over the last ten years. With years of tennis expertise, Gardner has devoted himself to designing a camp that provides players of all skill levels the tools they need to improve their confidence and overall game.
“Mike Gardner outdoes himself every year,” says Wendy Shpiz, VP of Nike Tennis. “The coaching staff at Amherst is outstanding and they found the perfect mix of technical instruction and fun that leaves kids wanting to go back each summer.”
The Nike Tennis Camp at Amherst offers an All Skills program designed for girls and boys of all skill levels, and a Tournament Level Training designed to focus on in-depth instruction towards match play, winning strategies and mental toughness. Additionally, Nike Tennis offers a two-week, High School only College Tour of Amherst and Williams College where players get the chance to tour and compete on two beautiful college campuses, all while receiving individualized instruction from National Championship Coaches. The High School Only weeks also offer an option to participate in SAT preparatory courses Monday through Wednesday in replacement of the regularly scheduled nighttime activities.
The Nike Tennis Camp at Amherst offers eight sessions of day and overnight camps for juniors, in addition to eight sessions for adults.
