Nike Tennis Camps Come to Iowa with a New Summer Camp at Wartburg College
Nike Tennis Camps is excited to announce Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa as it's newest camp location for the 2013 summer.
Led by Head Tennis Coach, Matt Tyler, the Nike Tennis Camp at Wartburg College will offer two weeks of Overnight and Day Camp (9:00am-4:00pm) for boys and girls ages 9-18 of all skill levels.
"We are thrilled to be back in the great state of Iowa," explains Matt Kurlander, Vice President of Nike Tennis Camps, "and Wartburg College is the perfect setting."
The 2013 Nike Tennis Camp at Wartburg College is offered June 23-28 and July 7-12 and is open to boys and girls ages 9-18 of all ability levels. Campers can choose between Overnight and Day Camp (9:00am-4:00pm) options. In addition to the All Skills program offered both weeks, the second session has a special High School program geared towards players ages 14-18. Our goal is to give every camper the opportunity to hit a ton of balls, improve their technique and match play skills, and learn in a fun environment with other players in their peer group.
Matt Tyler, Wartburg College Knights Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach will direct the camp. Since being the Head Coach for the Knights, Tyler has taken the previously 7th place women’s team to a two-year 3rd place finish in the Iowa conference and a second consecutive year appearance at the IIAC NCAA automatic qualifier tournament. The Knights men’s tennis program has also seen instant improvement, finishing their 2009-10 season in 3rd place for the first time in 15 years.
"I am delighted to be able to provide this new tennis outlet to our junior players in the Iowa tennis community," Matt passionately states.
