Stony Brook University to Host New Nike Tennis Camp in Long Island

San Rafael, CA: Nike Tennis Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the official operators of Nike Sports Camps, has announced a new location for summer 2019. Stony Brook University is the latest addition to the list of top-notch universities hosting a Nike Tennis Camp.

Located in the heart of Long island, NY, this day camp in Stony Brook offers tennis players an opportunity to improve their skills with Division I caliber coaches. Head Women’s Tennis Coach Gary Glassman and his experienced staff are delighted to bring a Nike Tennis Camp to their school, “We are thrilled to offer a unique environment for tennis players of all ability levels to train and improve during the summer. Our training program will have a healthy mix of drills and instruction along with singles and doubles match-play.”

Coach Glassman has developed the Seawolves program into a Division I caliber team that has become one of the best teams in the Northeast Region. Coach Glassman has been awarded America East Coach of the Year six times in his 20-year tenure as head coach as well as winning four conference championships since 2012. Him and his staff have developed a training curriculum to help New York tennis players improve every facet of their game with an emphasis on fundamentals and techniques.

The Nike Tennis Camp at Stony Brook University will run for one week, July 8-12 as a day only camp and will offer the All Skills Training Program.
