US Sports Camps Donates Thousands of Dollars of Nike Product and Shirts to Coaching Corps
(PRWEB) March 23, 2016 – US Sports Camps, the official camp operators of Nike Sports Camps, donated several thousand dollars of Nike apparel, shoes and shirts to Coaching Corps last week.
Coaching Corps is a corps of motivated college students and community members who serve as volunteer coaches, mentors and role models in afterschool sports programs serving girls and boys who live in some of our most under-resourced communities. They pride themselves in being more than just coaches, saying on their website, “We promote positive peer relationships, inspire leadership in kids and ensure the emotional and physical safety of all our athletes.”

"We know the positive impact that sports can play in the youth development, but unfortunately not everyone can afford the opportunities available. Coaching Corps is truly changing the game for these low-income children, and we are happy to help them accomplish their mission by donating some Nike gear for their programs.”
To date, over 6,500 of Coaching Corps coaches have “changed the game” for over 75,000 kids. In addition to offering coaching services, Coaching Corps offers their afterschool partners a range of crucial support, including training and consulting, acting as a community of advocates. Through research and special initiatives, they work to raise awareness of the disparity in opportunity for populations most in need. They educate policymakers and opinion leaders on the importance of ensuring that all kids have a chance to play – and experience the life-changing benefits of sports. Coaching Corps has an ambitious goal, striving to “change the game” for 300,000 kids across the nation by 2018.
