2018 European Volleyball Tour Report
A Smashing Success!
You can't possibly imagine how fast our 10 Day Tour through Italy, Germany, and Austria zoomed by!
16 very lucky girls got to compete against local European youth teams during a whirlwind trip that took them to exotic places with captivating sights ... all perfectly sandwiched between exhilarating events and competitive training sessions.
Parents also got to see Europe, meet new friends, and create lasting memories with their children.
“I can’t say enough good things about this experience! It was the perfect combination of exploration, volleyball, and cultural exchange! says Kate K., one of the mothers accompanying her daughter on the trip.
"My daughter and I came knowing nobody and left with dear friends from all over the country.”
Kate goes on to say, “She was challenged in a fun and supportive way and definitely learned things that will help her in her upcoming season. It was a great Mother/Daughter bonding experience for us... we truly made amazing memories with this trip!!!”
When asked about his experience coaching the teams on the trip, Coach Scott Grandpre said, “I cannot thank these families and athletes enough for their commitment and positive attitudes. Everyone worked hard, and it showed on the court. I enjoyed having the time to work with the girls and then see their transformation on the court.”
Coach Grandpre was pretty excited about how well things went. “The trip was a huge success thanks in part to Legacy Global Sports and US Sports Camps for their organization and coordination ... everything was first class from the food, to the accommodations, to the sightseeing. I am already looking forward to next summer.”
And beyond the great rooms, tasty foods, and amazing sights, Remy, our WONDERFUL tour guide, made sure everything ran smooth and kept things fun!
Sanai W, one of the players, summed up her trip like this. “The Nike European tour was a great experience. I met new people and had a chance to play volleyball with them and experience the European sports culture.”
