Arizona Volleyball Camp Announces New Ages for Advanced Camp
Nike Volleyball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, has announced it 2019 dates for the Nike Volleyball Camp at Yavapai College. This Arizona volleyball camp is directed and coached by Zachary Shaver. Shaver will enter his sixth season as head coach of the Roughrider program. Since taking over the program, Shaver has led the team to a 74-45 overall record and a .622 winning percentage.
2019 will mark the Nike Volleyball Camps third summer at Yavapai College. This summer the advanced camp will now include incoming 8th graders, compared to previous summers that only included incoming 9th-12th graders. The new addition is exciting for younger advanced campers already training at the high school level.
“Campers asked, and Zach and I listened,” says Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps. “Every summer we are learning how to improve our camp to fit the needs of our campers and the new grade requirement is just one example.”
With two sessions geared towards grades 5-8 and 8-12, athletes will have the opportunity to train in a focused and competitive environment. This overnight and day camp will run over a three-day period. Campers will train in a mix of drills, team base competition, and position specialty work to help build on fundamentals and improve skill sets.
