Nike Volleyball Camp at Truman State University to offer new position specialty program
Nike Volleyball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps the largest provider of sports camps in the world, has announced the new addition of a position specialty camp to their 2020 line up at Truman State University. This program will be run by the Women’s Head Volleyball Coach, Ben Briney, and will offer players the opportunity to train in a set position for the duration of camp.
Last summer was the first season of the Nike Volleyball Camp at Truman State and proved to be very popular, bring in almost 60 players. Girls from across the Midwest States came to master their fundamentals and get better in the offseason.
When asked about her daughter’s experience at the Missouri volleyball camp, parent Sara H. exclaimed, “My daughter has been to numerous volleyball, basketball, and soccer camps throughout the years, and she complimented on the time well spent, and that the level of competition was the best she’s experienced of any sport camp.”
Another parent stated, “She got great feedback on how to improve her passing and hitting. She has learned better ways to pass which has really helped her!”
Such feedback prompted Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps to add on a new and unique camp session for summer 2020. “We are very fortunate to have Ben in our Nike Volleyball Camps family. He did such an amazing job this past summer that we wanted to give more players the opportunity to train with him. A position specialty camp allows these girls to not only work on their specific position but also have them learn valuable tips from collegiate level athletes.”
The new program is for girls, ages 13-18, and will follow right after the All Skills volleyball camp, allowing players to maximize the training experience. During the position specialty camp, players will choose from hitter, setter, and libero, and undergo specialized training from Briney and his volleyball staff.
