Designed for girls ages 6–14, this camp takes place on Fairfield’s beautiful campus, featuring state‑of‑the‑art athletic facilities that create the perfect environment for learning, competing, and having fun.

Led by Associate Head Women’s Soccer Coach Corey Holton, along with an outstanding staff of collegiate coaches, campers will train under some of the region’s most respected teachers of the game. Coach Holton and her staff bring years of NCAA coaching expertise, delivering a high‑energy, confidence‑building experience that empowers players at every level. Designed for girls ages 6–14, this camp takes place on Fairfield’s beautiful campus, featuring state‑of‑the‑art athletic facilities that create the perfect environment for learning, competing, and having fun.

    Corey Holton

    Associate Head Women's Coach - Fairfield University

    Corey Holton is a highly accomplished collegiate coach with over a decade of head coaching experience and a proven track record of developing winning programs and elite student‑athletes. With nearly 12 seasons as a head coach and additional experience as an assistant at top NCAA programs, Holton brings exceptional leadership, tactical expertise, and a commitment to player development to the Fairfield University Women’s Soccer staff.

    Associate Head Women's Coach - Fairfield University

    Before arriving at Fairfield in 2022, Holton made her mark as the head coach at Vassar College, where she led the program to a 56–43–11 record and guided the team to its first‑ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. During her tenure, she helped coach and recruit 26 All‑Liberty League selections, two Rookie of the Year honorees, and propelled the program into the United Soccer Coaches Top‑25 national rankings—clear evidence of her ability to elevate players and teams to new heights.

    Holton’s success extended well before Vassar. As the all‑time winningest coach at Concordia University (Texas), she produced a 29–21–6 record and earned ASC Coach of the Year honors in 2011. Her players thrived under her guidance, earning 15 All‑Conference selections, including the 2011 ASC Offensive Rookie of the Year.

    Her coaching journey also includes impactful stops as an assistant at Notre Dame, Trinity College, and Greensboro College. While at Notre Dame, Holton helped lead the Fighting Irish to the NCAA Tournament Third Round and recruited a standout class of 11 prospects—seven with National Team experience, showcasing her strong eye for talent.

    In addition to her on‑field coaching accomplishments, Holton has held key administrative roles, serving as both the Assistant Athletic Director for Student‑Athlete Welfare and the Coordinator of Student‑Athlete Development at Vassar College. Her holistic approach to coaching extends beyond the pitch, emphasizing leadership, personal growth, and student‑athlete support.

    Holton holds a degree in Psychology from Elmira College and a Master’s in Sports Science from High Point University, further underscoring her dedication to understanding the mental, physical, and developmental needs of young athletes.

    Now a crucial leader within a Fairfield program coming off a strong nine‑win campaign and multiple MAAC Semifinal appearances, Holton continues to bring passion, experience, and elite‑level coaching to every player she works with.

    Assistant Coach Women's Soccer

    Chris Flaherty is an experienced, accomplished coach with a proven ability to develop talent at the collegiate, club, and youth levels. Entering his third season as an assistant coach, Flaherty brings a deep technical background and an impressive résumé built across championship‑winning programs and elite youth environments.

    Flaherty spent six seasons as the goalkeeping coach for the University of Bridgeport’s men’s and women’s programs, where he played a pivotal role in two straight CACC Championships in 2022 and 2023. Working with a pair of freshman goalkeepers in 2023, he helped lead the Purple Knights to an extraordinary defensive run, allowing just one goal across three CACC Tournament games and recording 73 saves over 19 matches with a save percentage above .750. He also guided standout goalkeeper Clara Karlsson, who posted nine clean sheets and a .790 save percentage before transferring to Florida Gulf Coast.

    On the men’s side, Flaherty developed Clement Anet, the 2022 CACC Goalkeeper of the Year, who led the conference with 10 wins, 82 saves, and a .796 save percentage, one of the top statistical seasons in program history.

    Flaherty’s success is not limited to conference titles. He was part of the University of Bridgeport staff that captured the 2018 Division II National Championship, a historic 20‑win season that earned the coaching staff national recognition as the United Soccer Coaches National Coaching Staff of the Year.

    In addition to his impressive college résumé, Flaherty is deeply rooted in youth soccer development, bringing valuable experience from several respected programs. He has coached with Connecticut Football Club (CFC), Staples High School, and FC National Elite, where he helped young players build technical foundations, confidence, and competitive maturity. His youth coaching experience strengthens his ability to connect with developing players and guide them toward the next level.

    Kayla Hamric

    Graduate Assistant Coach Women's Soccer

    Kayla Hamric brings elite playing experience and a high‑level competitive mindset to the Fairfield University coaching staff, entering her second season as the Stags’ Graduate Assistant Coach. A former professional midfielder in both the NWSL and the Ireland Premier Division, Hamric adds valuable insight into what it takes to succeed at the next level.

    Graduate Assistant Coach Women's Soccer

    Hamric most recently played professionally for Shelbourne FC in Ireland’s top division, where she made an immediate impact, appearing in 11 matches and scoring two goals in her league debut against Cork City. Prior to her time overseas, she was signed by the Houston Dash of the National Women’s Soccer League, one of the most competitive women’s leagues in the world.

    Before turning pro, Hamric starred at George Mason University, appearing in 66 career matches with 40 starts for the Patriots. A dynamic and creative midfielder, she tallied 10 goals and six assists, leading the team in goals during each of her final two seasons. Her combination of work rate, technical skill, and attacking vision made her one of the program’s most reliable contributors.

    With firsthand experience across collegiate, national‑league, and international play, Coach Hamric brings an invaluable player’s perspective to every training session, helping young athletes grow with confidence, develop technical excellence, and understand the demands of the modern game.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Supervision: Staff members are strategically placed throughout the campus/field to provide optimal supervision

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper-to-coach ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
  • Facility: Lessing Field & Rafferty Stadium
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

Rafferty Stadium 900x400

Opened in February of 2015 and dedicated on March 21, 2015, Rafferty Stadium is located on campus at the same site as its predecessor, Alumni Field. The venue seats 2,650 fans with a total capacity of 3,500 including standing room.

The facility features a Daktronics HD video board, state-of-the-art sound and lights and a FieldTurf playing surface, all made possible through the generosity of Fairfield alumni, parents and friends. The stadium is named in recognition of the principal leadership gift from Larry Rafferty ’64 and his family, and the field itself is named Conway Field in acknowledgment of a gift from Tim Conway ’76 and his family.
