Leibforth came to Kalamazoo College from Winona State University, where she was head women's soccer coach this past fall. She also served as the Warriors' interim head coach for much of the 2022 fall season. After taking over in 2022, Leibforth guided the Warriors to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament for the first time since 2018, qualifying with a 3-1 win over Upper Iowa on the final day of the regular season. During her tenure, Leibforth coached three all-conference selections, two players of the week, six honorable mention selections and four NSIC Myles Brand Award honorees.

"I am ecstatic to join the Kalamazoo College community," Leibforth said at the time of her hire. "Kalamazoo College is comprised of driven and passionate faculty, staff and students, which was made clear upon meeting everyone on campus. Kalamazoo is an excellent place to call home with its commitment to diversity, student success and community initiatives. Upon meeting the women's soccer team members, I felt the passion, pride and perseverance of this group and could not be more excited to lead them."

Leiborth was an assistant coach for six seasons at her alma mater, Loras College, before moving to Winona State. During her time at Loras, the Duhawks won four American Rivers Conference championships (2016, 2016, 2018, 2021). The 2021 squad finished 21-1-2 overall (8-0 ARC) and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division III Championships. The coaching staff was recognized with four conference Staff of the Year honors during her time on staff, along with United Soccer Coaches North Region Staff of the Year honors in 2021. The Duhawks compiled an overall record of 85-17-14 (41-3-4 ARC) during her six seasons on staff. In addition to coaching, Leiborth was a sport wellness advisor at Loras from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to collegiate coaching, Leibforth was the head girls soccer coach at Wahlert Catholic High School (Iowa) from 2017-22, earning Coach of the Year honors in 2021.

A native of Evergreen Park, Illinois, Leibforth played high school soccer at Mother McAuley High School in Chicago. She played four years at Loras College, graduating with bachelor's degrees in marketing and psychology in 2015. She earned a master's degree in counseling psychology from Loras in 2020 and is working towards a doctorate of education in sport & performance psychology.

    Michael Haines

    Head Coach

A proud Kalamazoo College alum, Haines returns to his alma mater as head men's soccer coach after a successful coaching career at multiple levels. Most recently, Haines was assistant men's soccer coach at Western Michigan University, where he helped lead the Broncos to a 45-7-12 record the past three seasons. WMU was ranked as high as No. 4 in the nation in 2024, earned three consecutive NCAA Tournament bids and had a national-best unbeaten streak of 37 games during that span.

"I'm very excited for this opportunity to lead the men's soccer program at my alma mater," Haines said. "It has been a dream of mine to come back to K, an institution that has given me so much. I believe K can contend for and win MIAA championships. This is the culture I experienced as a student-athlete at K and one I want to provide for the current and future players. I can't wait to get to work."

Haines was head women's soccer coach at Western Michigan University from 1998-2009, leading the Broncos to nine MAC Tournament appearances, one MAC Tournament championship and one NCAA Tournament appearance. Haines coached 16 All-MAC performers, 12 All-MAC Academic Team members, four All-Region players and one Freshman All-American.

In between his stints at WMU, Haines was an assistant women's soccer coach at Kalamazoo College from 2019-2022. He helped the Hornets to the MIAA Tournament all three seasons and advanced to the tournament finals twice.

Haines began his collegiate coaching career as head women's soccer coach at Kalamazoo College in 1996, where he led the Hornets for two seasons. His career record of 32-3-3 (.882) remains the best winning percentage in program history. Haines' 1997 team qualified for the NCAA Championships and beat Wilmington in the first round before bowing out to eventual national semifinalist Washington University (Mo.).

"I am thrilled to welcome Mike back to Hornet Athletics," said Jamie Zorbo, Director of Athletics. "His vision, passion, and strategic plan for the program's future perfectly align with the goals of Kalamazoo College and our Athletic Department. Mike's proven track record of success speaks volumes about his ability to develop talented student-athletes. Under his guidance and leadership, the future of the men's soccer program is exceptionally bright."

Haines led the Hackett Catholic Prep boys' soccer team to the 1995 Michigan Class C state title in 1995 with a 22-2 record. He also led the Hackett girls' soccer team to three consecutive state finals appearances (1996-98) with an overall record of 67-4.

A 1993 graduate of Kalamazoo College, Haines played soccer for the Hornets all four seasons and twice earned All-MIAA Second Team honors.
