Camp Director Graeme Jennings
Graeme Jennings was born in Nottingham, England where he started playing soccer at age five. In his youth he played for the prestigious Nottingham Forest youth team and also the regional team of Nottinghamshire. He earned his coaching credentials at the college level working in schools as an advisor to help to create, set up, and develop soccer programs.View Graeme 's Bio ⟩
While at South Nottingham College, he was on the team roster of the highly successful Soccer Academy program which has seen many current professional players graduate from and play/coach for English premier League teams such as: Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Bradford City, Charlton Athletic, Leicester City, and Nottingham Forest.
He played college soccer for Sheffield Hallam University and was then recruited to come to the U.S. to coach at summer soccer camps. After completing his degree in Sports Management, Graeme permanently moved to the U.S. to be the director of camps for Challenger Sports and coach travel teams. He has been developing and running soccer programs for the last ten years in the Unites States, Europe, and Africa. He has coached with the Sports Domain Academy (SDA), working with travel teams to design and begin a very successful academy program for pre-travel players to learn the necessary skills and knowledge to aid them into the transition of competitive soccer.
Coach Jennings' coaching philosophy focuses on providing players the maximum number of touches on the ball per session. He believes the more touches taken, the more confidence gained, and therefore the better the footwork and game becomes. Friendly competition is a excellent driver for learning. The skill to push yourself harder every single time can be the greatest motivator for success and development. He combines training methods from the U.S. and Europe to form a full daily schedule that applies challenging drills and new techniques into game situations.Show Less See More Camp Details

A Nike Soccer Camp staff member will meet the camper at the OSU bookstore and take them to check-in, and to their dorms, as long as we are made aware of their arrival time.

Camp ReviewsSubmit a review
The coaches were very friendly and made sure the kids were all included. After the first day both my kids felt like they had a personal connection with their instructor. Both kids made new friends at camp and talked about how exciting each day was. They liked how each day had different drills and skills to work on. I thought the camp went out of their way to accommodate for the weather by finding indoor facilities and alternate activities during the heat of the day. It is a camp that we would definitely do again in Corvallis, OR. It was well organized and the communication was just enough to keep you informed. Nike was very prompt to respond back to my emails when questions were asked. My kids couldn't even think of anything to change except make it one more day! Very positive experience for them. Thank you!

My daughter's roommate called in sick the day of camp. When we arrived she had already been re-assigned. She felt welcome immediately. The evening activities were fun for her and the plan for the hot weather was great.

Good recreational camp
My son's impression was that the camp might be more about fun than truly improving skills. Now, this is based on feedback from an 11 year old, not direct observation by a parent. But this same kid has played comp level for 4 years, and has weekly one-on-one lessons with an ex-pro where he gets pushed really hard, and enjoys it. He said he didn't ever feel pushed at the Nike camp, and that the broad range of ages and skills meant that the training was more generic. In addition, you all had to deal with some brutally hot weather, and that impacted the camp in a number of ways I'm sure. However, he definitely had fun!
